Mary Jane Daly
Professional Development Director, Lecturer, DUSP MCP alumna, Mary Jane Daly leads the DUSPConnect team. As a Lecturer and DUSP's Professional Development Director, she provides professional development guidance to students and graduates, and leads the department's alumni/ae and employer relations efforts, all aimed at cultivating a single DUSP community of practice. She teaches Planning in Practice, an experiential learning course combining reflective practice with field-based professional experience. Her expertise in advising in the planning profession stems from her own professional planning career. An accomplished planner, she has provided urban planning and economic development consulting services to a range of public, private and non-profit clients.
Serving on the Board and as past president of the Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA), she is able to bring together her professional interest in issues associated with women, families and work and her personal commitment to helping women as they navigate these murky waters. She serves as Co-lead of AMITA's Pay Equity Task Force and Co-Lead of the MIT Equal Pay Working Group.
