Salvador Herrera Montes

CEO at Urbanística and 2023-2024 SPURS Fellow. Oversees Urbanística’s strategic plan, achieves financial goals and delivers innovative solutions in urban planning and urban design projects. Previously was Chief Operating Officer of World Resources Institute México, where he was in charge of delivering the organization's goals.

Holds a BA in Urban Planning from Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico; Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico; and Specialization Certificate in Urban Management from Ecolen National d'Administration, France.

As a 2024-2025 SPURS Fellow, aims to create a framework for urban and regional planning that recognizes indigenous governance and development concepts and recognition of ecological traditional knowledge.
